Members of the Canadian Rally Community inducted into the Canadian Motorsports Hall of Fame

The Canadian Motorsport Hall of Fame (CMHF) is pleased to announce that 15 individuals will be honoured as new members. Fourteen will be inducted in the Competitors / Motorsport Builders / Team Members / Significant Contributors category, with another included in the Media category.

THE RALLY DÉFI 2020 WILL TAKE PLACE ON SEPTEMBER 12th & 13TH

It is with great pleasure that Rallye Sport Québec and the Club Automobile Défi Outaouais announce that the Rally Défi 2020 will finally take place this year, on September 12th and 13th. Due to the delays relating to the pandemic and the health measures that have evolved over the months, the new organizing club, the Club Automobile Défi Outaouais (CADO), finally opted for a reduced event which will consist of a sprint disputed over a single day on Saturday 12th and a RallyX on Sunday 13th.

The Rallye de Charlevoix is confirmed for next October, while adapting to new realities

The 2020 edition of the Rallye de Charlevoix will take place this year from October 23 to 25, as initially scheduled. The event is part of the North American Rally Cup, the Canadian Rally Championship, the Eastern Canadian Rally Championship and the Quebec Rally Championship.

ECRC-CREC Alexandre Moreau and Ian Guité Surprise at the Rallye Perce-Neige!

February 2, 2020.- Taking place in Maniwaki, in the Haute-Gatineau region of Quebec, was the inaugural event of the 2020 Canadian and Eastern Canadian rally calendars, the Rallye Perce-Neige. The fifty-fifth edition of this traditional event, contested on snowy and icy roads, held true to its reputation. Plenty of action and multiple changes on the leaderboard filled the event, ending with an Eastern Canadian Rally Championship (ECRC) victory for rookie Alexandre Moreau, co-driven by Ian Guité in a Swap Shop team Subaru WRX STI.

ECRC – CREC Philippe Benoît and Éric Dubé Win the Rally of the Tall Pines !

This past weekend, as part of the Rally of the Tall Pines in Bancroft, Ontario, the 2019 season of the Eastern Canadian Rally Championship (ECRC) concluded. The event was highlighted by the achievement of Quebeckers Philippe Benoît and Éric Dubé, who were the fastest overall with their two-wheel drive Mini Cooper ! This was the first time in the history of the ECRC that a 2WD vehicle has landed in the top spot of the overall podium.

ECRC – CREC – Nicolas Laverdière and Vincent Trudel win the Rallye de Charlevoix!

October 20th, 2019.- The annual Rallye de Charlevoix, penultimate round of the 2019 Eastern Canadian Rally Championship (ECRC) met its expectations with intense battles and unexpected turnovers. At the end, young Nicolas Laverdière, co-driven by Vincent Trudel captured their first rally victory in their Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution 8.

ECRC – CREC David Bérubé and Marilou Leblanc Earn Their First Eastern Canadian Rally Championship Victory at Rallye Défi!

Rallye Défi, the sixth of eight rounds in the 2019 Eastern Canadian Rally Championship (ECRC) was presented this weekend in the Outaouais region of Quebec (Montpellier and Ripon in the Papineau municipal county), experiencing many rebounds throughout the weekend. In the end, victory went to the duo composed of David Bérubé and Marilou LeBlanc (Subaru WRX STI).

ECRC – CREC A second win in three years for Nick and Kelly Mathew at the Ledwidge Lookoff Rally!

The sibling duo of Nick Mathew (driver) and Kelly Mathew (co-driver) won the Ledwidge Lookoff Rally this past weekend, the fifth round of the 2019 Eastern Canadian Rally Championship (ECRC). The only round of the season held in Nova Scotia, this event saw the Mathew team claim its second victory after their decisive win in 2017.

ECRC – CREC Matthew Ballinger and Bruce Leonard Claim the Black Bear Rally!

This weekend’s Black Bear Rally, fourth round of the Eastern Canadian Rally Championship (ECRC), marked the end of the first half of the 2019 season. Ten competitive stages were on the programme for the teams entered in this traditional event, which was running its twenty-fourth edition this year and was once again held on the roads in the Catchacoma Lake region, near the Kawartha Provincial Park, north of Peterborough (Ontario).

ECRC – CREC Local Favourites André and René Leblanc Win the Rallye Baie-des-Chaleurs!

Winners of the season opening Rallye Perce-Neige (Maniwaki, Québec), brothers André and René Leblanc also won this weekend’s third round of the 2019 Eastern Canadian Rally Championship season, the Rallye Baie-des-Chaleurs. Natives of New Richmond, where the event’s headquarters are located, the Leblancs united their many local fans, who only had eyes for their homegrown heroes throughout the duration of the rally.
