Paul Westwick has been the man behind the Pacific Forest Rally since 2000. We caught up with the event organizer in the final two weeks before the rally, to get a preview.

The calendar of events for the 2018 Canadian Rally Championships has been revealed. Once again, seven events will make up the schedule starting in February and running to December.

American competitors are no strangers to select rounds of the Canadian Rally Championship. At western rallies, that trend is especially strong. Travis Nease and Krista Skucas will mark their return to the CRC at the Pacific Forest Rally in less than two weeks time.

Karel Carré has been competing in rally and quickly made a name for himself as a fast driver. Son to Bruno Carré, Karel has recently joined the Test Racing team, and despite some setbacks at Rallye Défi, was setting many top 3 stage times during the rally.

After a series of challenges, Antoine L’Estage and Alan Ockwell of Subaru Rally Team Canada emerged victorious at the 25th edition of the Rallye Défi, in Montpellier, Quebec. The win marks L’Estage’s ninth win at Défi, and earns him maximum points in the championship standings, opening a slight margin over his rivals.

The Canadian Rally Championship relies on the efforts of dedicated volunteers to help run events. We spoke with Mathieu Arsenault, the Marketing, Sponsorship, and VIP co-ordinator for the upcoming Rallye Défi, to hear how he got started in rallying, and why he continues to be involved.
