Subaru Canada confirms 2017 sponsorship and contingency programs

Subaru Canada has confirmed their ongoing support of the Canadian Rally Championship, along with their support of Subaru Rally Team Canada and the winning combination of Antoine L’Estage and Alan Ockwell, who will be driving the Rocket Rally prepared SRTC Subaru WRX STI.

“I am so excited for the new season,” said Antoine L’Estage, Subaru Rally Team Canada driver. “We are very happy to be driving the Subaru WRX STI and are confident that we will get excellent results, including the chance for a 13th title for Subaru.”

 

 
 

Subaru Canada have also renewed the contingency programs that provides financial support to privateer Subaru drivers. Totals to be paid out include money for any team starting a national event, as well as the top six privateer Subaru finishers in each event, and for the top ranked teams in both the Overall and Production class standings at the end of the season. The largest payout to a single team in the 2016 season totalled nearly $10,000.

 

 
 

All CARS sanctioned rally club members of at least one year can also benefit again in 2017 as Subaru Canada are continuing their new car purchase rebate program that provides a $750 rebate to club members that purchase a new Subaru vehicle.

The 2017 season begins with the Rallye Perce Neige, Feb 3-4, 2017, in Maniwaki, Québec.
