Alan Ockwell never stood a chance. He was born into a Canadian rally family – the first time his parents met each other was at the Black Bear rally in Ontario, Canada in the 1970s.

Alan won his first navigational rally with his father when he was nine years old and started co-driving in stage rallies at age 18. He quickly rose through the ranks of North American co-drivers and has had a lot of success during his career, winning 29 national rallies and the Canadian national championship six times with Patrick Richard and Antoine L’Estage.

Several major automakers including Subaru, Toyota and Lexus have selected Alan as their official co-driver for their official entries in the Canadian rally series, Targa Newfoundland and high profile “eco-rallies” in Europe. Alan has also taken on a mentorship role in the sport, developing a co-driver training program and providing coaching & guidance to up-and-coming navigators.

– 6x Canadian champion (2008, 2009, 2014, 2015, 2017, 2024)
– 1x Ontario champion (2006)
– 6th overall, 2008 Targa Newfoundland; at that time, it was one of the strongest finishes ever by a hybrid in an international motorsport competition.
– 1st overall, 2012 Rallye Vert de Montréal, part of the FIA Alternative Energies Cup
– 5th overall, 2013 Rallye Monte-Carlo des Énergies Nouvelles
– 2nd overall, 2016 Éco-Rallye du Pôle Métropolitain Nîmes-Alès (France)
