We would like to take a few moments to give you some news about the 43rd edition of the Rallye Auto
International Baie-des-Chaleurs!
With the recent loss of the Big White Winter Rally, Lincoln Electric Rally of the Tall Pines and Rallye de Charlevoix due to various tightened provincial COVID related restrictions, the CARS board has met to review the situation as it relates to the CRC and protection of the rally community.
La Malbaie, October 7, 2020.- After having obtained all the required authorizations earlier this summer to be able to present, according to the new standards (and even beyond), the 2020 edition of the Rallye de Charlevoix, the organizing committee announces today that it is forced to cancel this 2020 edition which was to take place on October 23 and 24.
It is with regret that Maple Leaf Rally Club must announce the cancellation of the 2020 Lincoln Electric Rally of the Tall Pines, Bancroft, ON.
We feel that the only responsible course of action is to cancel this year’s event and start planning for 2021.
The 2020 edition of the Rallye de Charlevoix will be presented in La Malbaie (Quebec), October 23-24. Even if it’s difficult to project into the future to imagine what the laws will be in October and the level of the pandemic. Take note that the preparation is going well.

In light of the governmental measures in place to prevent Covid-19, the organizing committee of the Rallye Auto International Baie-des-Chaleurs and the Club Rallye Auto de la Baie is obligated to cancel the 2020 edition of our annual rally which was to be held from the 26th to the 28th of June 2020.
The Canadian Association of Rally Sport (CARS) is closely monitoring the COVID-19 developments. Our primary concern is the safety and health of the whole rally community as well as the people we come into contact with during the course of our events.
Karel Carré kicked off the 2020 Canadian Rally Championship with a convincing win at Rallye Perce Neige in Maniwaki, Quebec. In ideal winter rally conditions, Carré and new co-driver, Hubert Gaudreau, set the pace from the first stage and never looked back. It’s a perfect start for Carré, as he sets out to defend back-to-back championship titles.
