Career-capping victory for Grand Master driver Sylvain Vincent and son Simon at Rally of the Tall Pines

Bancroft, ON., November 29, 2015 – Sylvain and son Simon Vincent of Terrebonne, QC., won the Rally of the Tall Pines, the final round of the Canadian Rally Championship. After a long career in the sport and numerous podium finishes, Sylvain had earned the rank of Grand Master though a national victory had eluded the driver for his entire career.  

The team drove a consistent pace, and took over the lead early in the rally after running in second place through the morning stages.


Antoine L'Estage and Alan Ockwell dominate the Pacific Forest Rally

Merritt, B.C., October 25, 2015 – Antoine L'Estage (St-Jean-sur-Richelieu,QC) and Alan Ockwell (Toronto, ON) dominated the 2015 Pacific Forest Rally, L'Estage's eighth victory at the event. The Subaru Rally Team Canada WRX STI carved out a big lead on the first day of competition and managed their lead through the rest of the event, despite a mechanical failure partway through the second day.

New Richmond, Que., June 29, 2015 – Antoine L'Estage (St-Jean-sur-Richelieu, QC) and Alan Ockwell (Toronto) of Subaru Canada Rally Team overcame technical problems and tough competition to claim victory at the 2015 Rallye Baie-des-Chaleurs, the second round of the Canadian Rally Championship. Pushed to their limits by a rival team, the pair gained the lead halfway through the first day of competition.

“It's always good to have a close fight. It brings out the best in you as a driver and as a whole team,” said L'Estage. “Today I've been really happy with the stage times. The car took a beating and had no major problems after the first day, so it shows how good the work has been by the guys in the shop.”



Antoine L'Estage rallies to landmark victory at the 50th edition of the Rallye Perce-Neige

Maniwaki, Que., February 8, 2015 – Subaru Rally Team Canada's new driver and co-driver, Antoine L'Estage (St-Jean-sur-Richelieu, QC) and Alan Ockwell (Toronto), began the 2015 Canadian Rally Championship season with a victory at the 50th edition Rallye Perce-Neige, in Maniwaki, Que. The winter event runs through logging roads deep in the forests outside of town, and is traditionally the first event of the championship. In 2015, the organizers celebrated the 50th anniversary of the event with a special rock concert on the Friday night. Podium celebrations following the rally were complemented by a fireworks show.

“This is a perfect way to start the collaboration with Subaru,” said L'Estage. “I really need to thank everyone on the team for preparing the car for the event. It's been really important for all of us to come out and put this car on top of the podium for the first time.”
